Yeah, Fashion Snark was taken. So I swiped Cupcake_goth's acronym for Shallow Fashion Details, and added a little snark.

Ta DA!

ETA: I also swiped her theme, but purplized it.

So...

If I did a Fashion Snark tumblr, would you guys be into that?

I ask because I'm leaning further and further toward setting this journal (dreamwidth and livejournal) to friends only, and I enjoy when you guys send other people to my fashion snark posts.

Yeah, I'm starting to get crotchety and paranoid in my old age.

Bleah. I'm up, here, meh.

Otherwise, good. Dresden game last night was pretty awesome, including Dylan (my character) getting to vent loudly and at length against the white council warden who (by leaving) made her a warden.

Pretty good, and kind of gut-punchy. I'm still not sure if I like it, even though I totally understand how good it is. I do like that they aren't glossing over or glamorizing the lives of the whores. And I'm kind of tickled by their depiction of Calamity Jane.

Dresden game tonight.

I need new tights.

Cats are adorable, even when they pat your lips and yell at you before your alarm goes off. Kittens need ear-nommings.

sigh

Got to sleep not too much after 11.

I kind of miss the days when me and my old buddies used to get high, because at least then we were all on the same page. Now? How did all those pot-smoking partiers turn into conservative dickheads? How? What the fuck?

It makes me sad, and really cranky.

Writers block sucks complete and total ass.

And stuff.

Weeks of meh. When does the mania hit?

Bedtime on a fucking tuesday.

Why is my brain trying to kill me.?

GAH!

Oh for the love of fucking christ!

Another ONE!!!!!

Seriously, did I really smoke THAT MUCH POT back in the day? Really?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, I mean, I know I liked to get high, but fucking hell.

Need to take it easy for a bit. Perfect storm of allergens is conspiring to make me quit breathing. Stayed home yesterday on the couch, covered with cats.

Played an assload of Dominion this weekend, and won most of the games.

Ok, I'm here. Time to pretend to be awake.
sirriamnis: Calvin and Hobbes Music (Default)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Ok. So with the Breathe Right strips, I sleep awesome. Way better than I have in ages.

However, I still feel like I can't get enough sleep ever. I know part of it is not going to bed early enough. I don't know.

I think I need to look into spending time at the gym again.

Sigh

So I downloaded a chess app on my phone. Let's see if I actually remember how to play. I suspect I may have to re-learn, it's been so long.

Kitten was extra cuddly.

I will need more coffee.

Blerg and stuff.

Blerg.

I wonder if the Montessori school called Betty to check my references, because she's a little strained toward me today. If she asks, I'll tell her. But I'm not volunteering and I don't have to.

The Pinata, still trying to make sure I don't miss him.

Bleah.

Need nap.

Every once in awhile I remember something my Dad did that is kind of fucked up. Tuesday's memory was when Javagoth said she'd never played chess. I replied with, "I used to." Then remembered why I don't anymore. And haven't for decades.

So, how many other six year olds were given chess strategy books by their dad?

Yeah.

sigh

I guess I was pretty good at it, but it got tedious real quick.

Naps are ok. But groggy making.

Regretsy is awesome.

Cats who stomp on your face while you're trying to nap are not awesome.

They are, in fact, diametrically opposed to awesome.

Ok, going to try to salvage some writing time.

At least not so far.

I did get a lot of compliments for all the work I put in on the big meeting in Chicago that the Pinata and Dr. T chaired. They came back and told me that the Secretary of the organization had talked me up to the Board. So I emailed him:

"Dr. T and The Pinata came back and told me about all the nice things you said about me. While you know you shouldn't go around lying like that, I appreciate the sentiment. Thank you. You have been a joy to work with."

He's got the sense of humor that appreciates mine.

The Pinata says he's going to change his name to Dr. S so I'll be nicer to him. My response was, "A rose by any other name..."

Had a good time at Tithonium's B-day Party.

Kind of tired and groggy, due partially to a certain grey and white babycat wanting kissies and ear-nommings at 8 in the fucking morning. When I rolled over to ignore her, she did the unthinkable and crawled up on Ogre so she could throw herself at my hand and pat my lips.

Right now I have a big fuzzy orange Man-cat snuggled up against one thigh, on my fleece shark blanket.

The Grrsl is on his other side and snoring away.

To do:
Finish Polimicks post on why the absence of temptation does NOT equal morality.
Clean Bathroom.
Work on THE NOVEL.
Change litterboxes.
Do laundry.
Read Hellcats and Hockeysticks.

That's about it.

Oh, and run down to Walgreen's at some point.

Edit: Bathroom, litterboxes and dishes done. Post mostly done, possibly completely.

" It’s such a refreshing change to be treated like an adult human being by a healthcare professional, instead of as a naughty child. It’s so nice to have someone look at my history of compliance with medications that DO work (Advair, the love of my life), and listen to me when I say that something doesn’t work. And it’s brilliant to have someone reaffirm, that yes, even though I’m fat, I’m healthy, and I do know what is going on with my own body."

Here. Up. Dressed. Not necessarily in that order.

Kitten was exceptionally snuggly this morning. Wanted to be held upside down and have her ears nommed. Tired. I think I'll be going on a news diet this weekend.

Did not wear my brace last night, and my thumb hurts. Will remember to put that on tonight.

New GGR post on Echo Bazaar. http://www.geekgirlsrule.net
